Local Storage Only: Your job application data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This means:

• All data remains on your device
• We do not have access to your data
• Your data is not transmitted to any servers
• Your data is not shared with third parties
• We cannot retrieve or recover your data if lost

2. Analytics and Cookies

Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the application. Google Analytics may collect:

• Anonymous usage statistics (page views, session duration)

6. Browser Storage Limitations

Important Considerations:

• Different browsers store separate data (Chrome data won't appear in Firefox)
• Clearing browser data/cookies will delete all your applications
• Incognito/private browsing mode will not save data
• Browser updates may occasionally clear localStorage
• Storage limits vary by browser (typically 5-10MB, sufficient for thousands of applications)

7. Third-Party Services

This application uses:

• Google Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics (see section 2)
• XLSX.js Library: For Excel import/export functionality (runs locally, no data transmitted)
• Netlify: For website hosting (does not access your application data)

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

3. Data Loss and Backup Responsibility

CRITICAL: YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR DATA.

We are not liable for any data loss, including but not limited to:

• Browser cache clearing or browser data deletion
• Browser updates or reinstallation
• Computer crashes, hardware failure, or device loss

Backup Recommendations:

• Export your data regularly using the Export (📊) button
• Save exported Excel files to a secure location
• Keep multiple backup copies
• Export before clearing browser data or updating browsers
• Consider exporting before adding large amounts of new data

Job posting URLs and company information are provided by users. We are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or availability of external websites
• Job posting legitimacy or accuracy
• Company information correctness
• Broken or expired links
• Fraudulent job postings or scams
• Third-party privacy practices or data collection

Important: Always verify job postings independently and be cautious of potential scams.

5. Browser Compatibility and Technical Requirements

Compatibility: This application is optimized for modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) released within the last 2 years.

Requirements:

• JavaScript must be enabled
• localStorage must be enabled
• Cookies must be enabled (for Google Analytics)
• Minimum screen resolution: 1024x768 recommended
• Internet connection required for Excel import/export (XLSX library)

We are not responsible for compatibility issues with outdated browsers or configurations that don't meet these requirements.

6. Auto-Fill Feature Limitations

Parsing Restrictions: The auto-fill feature attempts to automatically extract job information from job posting URLs. However, this functionality may not work on all websites due to:

• Website security policies that prevent automated data extraction
• Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) restrictions
• Site-specific security measures or anti-scraping protection
• Differences in website structures and formats

When Auto-Fill Fails: If the auto-fill feature doesn't work for a particular job posting, you can still use the application by manually entering the job details. This does not affect the core functionality of the tracker.

Supported Sites: Auto-fill works best on common job boards, but success rates vary. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all job posting websites.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall JAT2Go or its creators be liable for any:

• Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or opportunities
• Business interruption or loss of use
• Damages arising from use or inability to use this application
• Damages arising from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies

This applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
